Pennsylvania Mentor's CRR Host Home
information provided by: Westmoreland County Behavioral Health and Developmental Services
Provides treatment services for children and adolescents in family homes. The typical range of admission runs from 4 to 18 years of age; however younger children may be admitted and adolescents may stay in the program past the age of 18 with necessary approvals. Children must have a primary psychiatric diagnosis to be admitted. Children may be residing with natural families at the time of placement; may be in the custody of children and Youth or Department of Human Services; and/or may have had several prior placements. Unlike traditional RTFs, they are able to offer residential treatment in a family home setting. They have the capacity to provide a variety of therapeutic support services to the child and his/her family while maintaining the child in a home-like setting in the community.
