J. Cole offers discount Dreamville music festival tickets to military, veterans

Fayetteville Observer - 2/27/2020

Feb. 27--Military service members and veterans who want to attend J. Cole's Dreamville Festival in April can get discount tickets if they attend this weekend's Inaugural Armed Forces Invitational baseball tournament at Segra Stadium in Fayetteville.

The music festival, set for April 4 in Raleigh, announced the discounts on Wednesday. Dreamville Festival general admission tickets are $150, but military members and veterans can get the tickets for $110, a news release says.

Purchasers can get as many as two discount tickets. They must present their military identification and pay with cash, the news release says. They also must have a baseball tournament ticket to get into Segra Stadium to buy the music festival tickets.

Entry to the baseball tournament costs $10, said Fayetteville Woodpeckers spokeswoman Victoria Huggins. Segra Stadium is the home of the Minor League Baseball Fayetteville Woodpeckers team.

J. Cole, one of the music industry's most popular performers, grew up in Fayetteville and his mother is an Army veteran.

The baseball tournament is being held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Army West Point, Air Force and Campbell University teams will compete. The game times were recently rescheduled because of forecasts of cold weather, Huggins said. The schedule is:

--2 p.m. Friday, Army vs. Air Force.

--6 p.m. Friday, Army vs. Campbell.

--1 p.m. Saturday, Air Force vs. Campbell.

--5 p.m. Saturday, Air Force vs. Army.

--11 a.m. Sunday, Campbell vs. Army.

--3 p.m. Sunday, Campbell vs. Air Force.
